Halloween is one of my favorite party occasions, Keith and I try and plan weeks in advance, with extreme detail on our costumes. Last year we were MacBeth, but this year with all of our New England traveling we found ourselves short on time. We had a friend’s party to attend in the city later that evening but also were finally in town for the Jamaica Plain Dog Costume Parade.
I pulled out Howard’s old skunk costume, made some bunny ears for Keith, and dragged out my vintage fur coat from the closet! As a family, we went as Bambi, Thumper, and Flower. Though we didn’t place in the contest, I was pretty proud of what I pulled off in one mornings time.
I had youtube to thank for the deer makeup tutorials I watched, eagerly contouring my face and drawing on the exaggerated deer brows. I decided to go on the lighter side for the makeup styling, using my all organic Arbonne products. I have been a big advocate for clean and healthy skin and I find using 100% organic products, has changed my complexion dramatically over the past years.
Now if I could only reduce the amount of sugar I consume, I may even see a totally clear complexion one day. But for now, these cider donuts are way too tasty of a seasonal treat!
